OLLI CLASSES
"HANDS-ON" COMPUTER TRAINING CLASSES
The Osher Lifelong
Learning Institute (OLLI) is pleased to announce a "hands-on"
computer training class for OLLI and PCS members. OLLI is
the Senior Programs arm of Yavapai College. The classes
will be given at Yavapai College in one of the computer
classrooms equipped with 24 desktop computers.
Information about the Spring 1 OLLI Photoshop Elements
class.
We’ll use Photoshop Elements 7 for the class but the materials
will be applicable to most of the other versions of Photoshop
Elements.
The class will be given by Phil Ball and Andy Reti with
assistance from Ray DeCosta under the auspices of the OLLI
program at Yavapai College during the Spring 1 session. It
starts on February 2, 2010 and consists of six weekly 2-hour
sessions in a computer classroom at the College with each
student having his/her own individual computer. Here's a

To register, call Tricia Berlowe or Deni Harris at the OLLI
Office at 928-717-7634. The basic OLLI registration fee is
waived for Prescott Computer Society members but there is a fee
of $25 for the class. When you file
your registration, make sure to put "PCS" in the upper
right-hand corner of the form. Or use

instead.
OTHER CLASSES AT YAVAPAI COLLEGE
Computer Fundamentals Classes
Yavapai College’s 2010 Spring semester will offer a 1 credit course entitled
"Getting To Know Your PC". This class is taught by one of our members Joan
Baum, who as an Adjunct Teacher and Business Consultant has been teaching
and training users on computers for over 20 years.
Joan also teaches for Yavapai College’s Community Education Department,
which offers a variety of classes geared towards new computer users. These
workshop type classes range from 2 - 4 hr timeframes and include Computer,
Internet and Email Fundamentals. Dates and times for all classes, will be
listed in the Community Education Newsletter. The first Computer
Fundamentals class is scheduled for Feb 12 & 19 (Fridays) from 1-3 on the
Prescott Campus.
