Membership Information
The Prescott Computer Society has a current membership of about
130. Our members generally live in Prescott and Prescott Valley,
Arizona as well as the surrounding areas of Yavapai County.

Attendance at our meetings
We hold numerous meetings each month on a variety of different
computer topics according to the schedule on our Home page.
Access to the Members Only section of the website
This area contains recent back issues of the
PCS weekly email newsletter, membership list and the Presentations
and Articles database. The latter allows you to download meeting
handouts, the presenter's notes (PowerPoint or PDF format) and
computer-related articles written by PCS members. A sample of our
database may be seen here - as a
non-member you may view the titles of the items available but not
download them.
Group discounts
Discounts
on hardware and software purchases are available through
AZACC (Arizona Alliance of Computer
Clubs).
Reduced fees for OLLI classes
It costs only $25 to attend OLLI classes at Yavapai College which are taught by PCS members.

The weekly email newsletter contains up-to-the-minute information
regarding meeting presenters and their topics.

This newsletter, sent out every Monday morning, contains computer Tips 'n' Tricks, schedule changes
and club news items.
Dues
Dues are only $24 per year for Full members and are used for the purchase of
computer equipment, meeting room expenses and picnic supplies.
During this difficult economic climate, the PCS Board of Directors has tried to be
as frugal as possible. For example, our newspaper columns have provided
excellent free publicity for our club. We have encouraged ourselves as well as our
members to use free software. In 2010 the Board set the annual dues at $24, a
twenty percent reduction from the previous year.
PCS has another type of membership, that of Associate members,
for those who do not live in Yavapai County and would not be able
to attend meetings on a regular basis. Typically these members would
want to receive our newsletter and have access to our Presentations
and Articles database.
Dues for Associate members have been set at one-half of the rate for
Full members so a full-year's dues for an Associate member would be $12.
